Third reading: Socio economic status as defacto in bilingual education

In this reading from Stephen Krashen its stated that we should be aware and don't ignore the Socio economic status. For this case Krashen had as reference three different studies, these were done in Los Angeles, Toronto and New York, according to the results he provided 6 reasons why the SES (Socio Economic Status) could affect directly or indirectly  the learner's performance. As conclusion we can infer that even as SES is not the causative in most of the cases, there is the need to improve the learning environment at schools, to allow rich and excellent education.

Second reading: Curricular adjustments for EFL students with mild intellectual disability (Carlos Carrillo & José Guillermo Rodríguez Segura)

In this research project done by Carlos Carrillo and José Guillermo Rodríguez Segura they have a proposal model for new ways and strategies that teachers should implement in the classrooms to improve the EFL learning process.  They did this research in Universidad La Gran Colombia with one student that had some difficulties. Taking in the account the information in the research some of the conclusions, were that is necessary that institutions improve their conditions like resources, time distributions and of course the teachers they have assigned in order to take care of the process. So there is needed to go further so we can improve those conditions.
