Third reading: Socio economic status as defacto in bilingual education
In this reading from Stephen Krashen its stated that we should be aware and don't ignore the Socio economic status. For this case Krashen had as reference three different studies, these were done in Los Angeles, Toronto and New York, according to the results he provided 6 reasons why the SES (Socio Economic Status) could affect directly or indirectly the learner's performance. As conclusion we can infer that even as SES is not the causative in most of the cases, there is the need to improve the learning environment at schools, to allow rich and excellent education.
